Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Edinburgh – without a doubt it is one of the world’s finest cities. It really has something for everyone: beautiful Georgian architecture, a buzzing nightlife and even an extinct Volcano in the middle of the city (yes really!).
But something special happens in August, people flock from all over the world to see the weird, the wacky, the camp and the colourful – an arts festival like no other.
This year’s highlights will include Scott Mills performing the ‘Bjorn Identity’, which is basically ‘The Bourne identity’ set to the music of Abba, and ‘an observational Scot’, Daniel Sloss, who is described by The Telegraph as ‘a star in the making’. Then there are established favourites such as Al Murray of ‘The Pub Landlord’ fame, but really half the fun is getting out and discovering things yourself.
If you are going, have a great time. If you are driving up, why not put up a goCarShare request and earn some money so you can treat yourself to some Scottish delicacies; Haggis, fried Mars Bars and Irn Bru anyone?
If you need any help just drop us a line at hello@gocarshare, we are more than happy to assist.
Thanks,
Drummond
PS Maybe see you there, or better still maybe I’ll grab a ride with you up to the festival – just need things to calm down a wee bit!
