Heading to BoomTown Fair ?

Boomtown is one of the UK’s wildest and most inspiring independent festivals, with diversity being fundamental to its identity.  Unlike most festivals that have an annual theme, Boomtown continues a story with new chapters unfolding every year. You can expect to find a celebration of all genres including ska, folk, reggae, punk, disco, jungle and techno across the pop-up city’s 9 themed districts.

Boomtown is a global community of music and freedom loving people, where the focus is on creativity, colour and expression.

Share a ride to BoomTown with GoCarShare this year and we'll enter you into a competition to WIN A PAIR OF FREE TICKETS for next year! Because that's just the way we roll...

"DJ Spungold says thanks to GoCarShare... my lift got me there in plenty of time to work for BOOMTOWN radio this year... happy dayz xx" - DJ Spungold, performer at BoomTown Fair 2013
"It was my first time using GoCarShare as it was the first time I had gone to a festival by myself and it seemed silly not to offer the seats to someone. I met some great characters and had an enjoyable journey with them. I would definitely use GoCarShare again and would recommend it to others!" - Matt Summers, GoCarShared to BoomTown Fair 2014
“Last year was my first time using a car share app and my first time at BoomTown too. Both were really great experiences! I was travelling with a friend I knew already and we picked up Max and Kai whom we met via the app. They were both extremely friendly, easy-going guys and everyone was in the festival spirit. The car journey flew by as we were getting to know each other and It really helped set the right tone for a fun and wild weekend. Plus it saved us a few quid! Well recommended.” - Joel Andrews GoCarShared to Boomtown 2015
“I found out about gocarshare from the boomtown fair website - it seemed like a really good idea. I wasn't fussed about the money for the lifts (though that was a bonus), but it seemed crazy to drive an empty car to boomtown if there were people who needed a lift, so I went for the fare contribution as suggested by the site. And it felt really safe because it was done through the site.  When I posted the offer of the lift, there was quite a lot of interest - much more than I expected.  The journey down there was really fun, and the company was great, and it was also really good to have co-drivers who knew where they were going or could navigate with google!” - Jim Ledger GoCarShared to Boomtown 2016

GoCarShare Booking System

Passengers ‘book’ the journey. Once the driver has accepted, the passenger will be asked to prepay via PayPal.

A week after the journey has been completed we will transfer the money to the driver, minus our fee of 15%, which usually works out as just a couple of pounds. Drivers are welcome to factor this cost into the price they quote to take a passenger.

We don’t enforce the booking system, but it is important to use because:

  1. It prevents people dropping out at the last minute so offers the drivers security.
  2. It helps ensures the safety of the platform; everyone is trackable.
  3. This is our way of funding the development of GoCarShare and ensuring that we are here next year too.

We hope you value GoCarShare and support us in using the booking system. Please shoot through any questions at hello@gocarshare.com
