Heading to Burning Lantern?
Burning Lantern is a brand new music event for Wales, a family country fayre in St Fagans, the national focal point for the celebration of Welsh culture, with international performers Tom Odell and Jack Savoretti with more to be announced.
Burning Lantern will light up St Fagans with a main stage featuring live music through the day, with street food and craft ales, amusements and entertainment creating a family fayre in one of Wales’ leading tourist attractions.
St Fagans is a Welsh national treasure and such a beautiful setting for an event of this kind. We’re working with the team there to bring to life a music event with a country fayre feel - with mainstream, big name acts on stage, and plenty to keep youngsters occupied in the buildings and features around the parkland.
St Fagan’s National History Museum contains over forty original buildings from different historical periods, including farmhouses, a school, a chapel, Workmen's Institute, row of terraced cottages and a working blacksmiths – all lovingly relocated from across Wales, and recently revamped with the addition of new features.
GoCarShare Booking System
We’ve introduced a new booking system:
Passengers ‘book’ the journey. Once the driver has accepted, the passenger will be asked to prepay via PayPal.
A week after the journey has been completed we will transfer the money to the driver, minus our fee of 15%, which usually works out as just a couple of pounds. Drivers are welcome to factor this cost into the price they quote to take a passenger.
We don’t enforce the booking system, but it is important to use because:
1. It prevents people dropping out at the last minute so offers the drivers security.
2. It helps ensures the safety of the platform; everyone is trackable.
3. This is our way of funding the development of GoCarShare and ensuring that we are here next year too.
We hope you value GoCarShare and support us in using the booking system. Please shoot through any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
