Heading to Green Gathering?

The Green Gathering: Where Performance Meets Permaculture

A festival 'beyond hedonism', focused on education for sustainability, held near Chepstow, in the Welsh borders just 18 miles away from Bristol.

Set in wooded grounds, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with stunning views over the Severn Estuary and Wye Valley, the Green Gathering offers a unique, low impact summer holiday.

The eclectic music line-up will include up-and-coming young bands and legendary festival favourites. Folk, gypsy, punk, ska, soul and psychedelic sounds will all feature. The Speakers' Forum provides a platform for key Green thinkers; the Brigadoon Stage hosts informal acoustic sessions; and there's a spoken word arena for poets, comedians and raconteurs.

For hands-on, experiential learning there are workshops in traditional crafts, permaculture, alternative technology and storytelling. There's no mains electric on the festival site, and no generators; all stages, music, light and gadgets are powered by wind, sun and people. Reasonably priced real ale and cider bars, wholesome food, solar-powered showers, wood-fired saunas, campfires and a community of like-minded people round out the event.

The Green Gathering Charity - with a remit to promote education for sustainability - commissions The Green Gathering festival.

Winner of Festival Kidz Gold Award 2014.

GoCarShare Booking System

We’ve introduced a new booking system:

Passengers ‘book’ the journey. Once the driver has accepted, the passenger will be asked to prepay via PayPal.

A week after the journey has been completed we will transfer the money to the driver, minus our fee of 15%, which usually works out as just a couple of pounds. Drivers are welcome to factor this cost into the price they quote to take a passenger.

We don’t enforce the booking system, but it is important to use because:

  1. It prevents people dropping out at the last minute so offers the drivers security.
  2. It helps ensures the safety of the platform; everyone is trackable.
  3. This is our way of funding the development of GoCarShare and ensuring that we are here next year too.

We hope you value GoCarShare and support us in using the booking system. Please shoot through any questions at hello@gocarshare.com
